SUPPORT THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR JEWISH FILM
FILM PRESERVATION FUND
Dear Friend,
For more than three decades, The National Center for Jewish Film has rescued films that document the diversity and vibrancy of Jewish life.
The Center’s first priority is the preservation and restoration of endangered films with artistic and educational value relevant to the Jewish experience. NCJF’s collection of 12,000 reels of Jewish film is the world’s largest outside of Israel. To date, the Center has restored 38 Yiddish feature films and dozens of other “orphan” films. Once restored, these films are screened and studied worldwide.
Thousands of rare films exclusively owned by the Center are in critical need of preservation. The laboratory cost to restore one hour of 35mm nitrate sound film is $50,000. Without your help, these rapidly deteriorating moving images will fade into history.
Become a “Reel Funder” with as generous a gift as your
circumstances will permit. Help save these precious documents for future generations.
